Track training will be held on · 14+15+16 April · Cost is $12 · Three Daily Session Times are 8am-11am, 11am-2pm, 2pm-5pm · Bookings are essential through the Cycling NSW office and can be made with Brian Crawford on 02 9738 5850 Track roller hire is available at Dunc Gray Cycling NSW has 20 sets of rollers for hire during the Masters Championships at $55 for the week, plus refundable $100 bond or credit card imprint. This will save on excess baggage for competitors travelling by plane from interstate. Simply contact the Cycling NSW office before you arrive on 02 9738 5850 Why is the Somersby Individual Time Trial start/finish at different locations ? This is a NSW Police traffic management plan requirement in view of anticipated traffic in the Somersby-Calga area on that day. The medal presentations for each category will be held at the finish area at Calga approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of each category When will the individual road time trial start times be available ? The womens program will be conducted first, starting at 10am. The mens program will then follow shortly afterwards. Riders will depart at one minute intervals. Precise start times will be posted on the Cycling NSW website under Start List shortly after entries close on 7 April Can I train on the ECR or WSID beforehand ? No. Training is not permitted on these motor racing circuits. Dunc Gray Velodrome & DGV Criterium Circuit Address Carysfield Rd, Bass Hill Getting There access is from the Hume Highway at Bass Hill, 25k west of Sydney city DGV Velodrome - the 250 metre Baltic Pine track has been widely acclaimed as one of the best in the world. The facility is fully enclosed and includes car parking, 3,300 seats surrounding the infield for race viewing, toilets, food and beverage facilities, electronic scoreboard, competitor and officials change and meeting rooms, and disabled access and seating DGV Criterium Circuit directly opposite the Dunc Gray Velodrome. The DGV criterium circuit is 800m per lap on high quality bitumen Event Car Parking ample parking is available at the Dunc Gray Velodrome Event Registration Track events registration will be available within the Dunc Gray Velodrome (signs will be posted at the lower front door) Criterium events registration will be available in the staged area, just outside the Handle Bar Tavern on the grassed area Toilets & light Food - provided in the Handle Bar Tavern Criterium Start area - all Divisions will assemble on the inside of the DGV criterium circuit Spare Wheels Criterium events - each Division will be serviced by spare wheels available from a designated area within the circuit. Riders to supply their spare wheels to the designated area no later than 15 minutes before start time Spectator Vantage Points - the DGV criterium circuit offers great viewing from the hill just opposite the finishing line Medal Presentations Track events inside the track area Criterium events - at the staged area, outside the Handle Bar Tavern
Somersby (Shops) 21 April Address Corner Wisemans Ferry Rd & Peats Ridge Rd, Somersby Getting There Going north on the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway, you can elect to turn left at the Calga Interchange (take the Peats Ridge exit), or proceed further north along the Newcastle Freeway to the Somersby Interchange (again turn left direction Peats Ridge). The Somersby Shops are located on the Wisemans Ferry Rd, only 200 metres from the Peats Ridge Road off ramp. You should allow 1.5 hours to drive to the Somersby Shops from the Sydney CBD as morning peak traffic could be heavy Warm Up Road Wisemans Ferry Road, direction Gosford. There is no warming up permitted on the race circuit (Wisemans Ferry Rd direction Wisemans Ferry) Circuit The 22k course starts at the Somersby shops on Wisemans Ferry Rd, then proceeds along Wisemans Ferry Rd past the IL Cadore Equestrian Centre, up a small climb, then veer left at approximately 5k onto Peats Ridge Rd. Along Peats Ridge Rd, passing through Peats Ridge village after 10k. Peats Ridge village to Jones Rd, Calga is another 12k Event Car Parking adjacent to the Somersby Shops Event Registration adjacent to the Somersby Shops Toilets & light Food - toilets and light food will be provided at both the Somersby Shops and the finish at Jones Rd Calga Start area Somersby Shops, Wisemans Ferry Road Finish Area Jones Rd, Calga Spectator Vantage Points the long climb to Peats Ridge village at 9k, or Blood Hill approximately 2.5k from the Calga finish Medal Presentations Jones Rd, Calga approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of each category
Sydney International Regatta Centre (Penrith Lakes) 22 April Address Castlereagh Road, Penrith Website www.regattacentre.com.au, includes Regatta Centre maps Getting There The Regatta Centre is 55k west of Sydney city, and travelling time can take 1.5hrs depending on traffic conditions which can be very heavy. Exit the M4 Motorway at the Northern Road intersection. The Regatta Centre is 6k from the Penrith Railway Station. Entry to the Regatta Centre is off Castlereagh Road, and Entry Gates open from 8am.
