Saturday 5 July
Stage 1 – 197.5km
Brest > Plumelec
LIVE  10:00pm-2:00am (Sunday 6 July)
For the first time since 1967 the race will commence without a
prologue. Starting in the western-most tip of continental Europe, the
first yellow jersey is up for grabs in this hilly stage.

Stage 2 – 164.5km
Auray > Saint-Brieuc
LIVE  10:00pm-2:00am (Monday 7 July)
This short stage offers four relatively mild mountain climbs, three
Category 4 and one category 3, and three sprints.

Monday 7 July
Stage 3 – 208km
Saint-Malo > Nantes
LIVE  10:00pm-2:00am (Monday 8 July)
With straight and fast-riding roads to end this stage, it is the first
chance sprinters have at a stage win.

Tuesday 8 July
Stage 4 – 29.5km – ITT
Cholet > Cholet
LIVE  10:00pm-2:30am (Wednesday 9 July)
The first of two individual time-trials (ITT) of the 2008 edition, favouring
the solitary specialists.

Stage 5 – 232km
Cholet > Châteauroux
LIVE  10:30pm-1:45am (Thursday 10 July)
Stage 5 is the longest stage of the 2008 and offers straight flat roads.

Thursday 10 July
Stage 6 – 195.5km
Aigurande > Super-Besse
LIVE  10:00pm-2:00am (Friday 11 July)
The first mountain stage of the 2008 Tour, this stage offers a category 2 climb, the hardest mountain climb the riders have so far encountered in the first week of the 2008 edition.

Stage 7 – 159km
Brioude > Aurillac
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Saturday 12 July)
The cyclists must negotiate steep roads, three sprints, five mountain passes and a significant descend before they finish this short but tense stage.

Saturday 12 July
Stage 8 – 172.5km
Figeac > Toulouse
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Sunday 13 July)
Commencing in the medieval town of Figeac, the cyclists enjoy the calm before the storm, the final stage before the high mountain stage begins.

Stage 9 – 222km
Toulouse > Bagnères-de-Bigorre
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Monday 14 July)
The first high mountain stage of the 2008 Tour with seven mountain passes, including two category 1 climbs side-by-side.

Stage 10 – 156km
Pau > Hautacam
LIVE 10:00pm-2:15am (Tuesday 15 July)
In the second high mountain stage the riders encounter their first HC category climb of the race with a difficult mountain finish to end the stage.

Lannemezan > Foix
LIVE 10:00pm-1:45am (Thursday 17 July)
A fast paced, hilly and twisting route along the foothills of the Pyrenees. The last stage before exiting the mountains.

Thursday 17 July
Stage 12 – 168.5km
Lavelanet > Narbonne
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Friday 18 July)
A fast-riding stage expected as the riders descend out of the mountains and start their journey along the south of France.)

Friday 18 July
Stage 13 – 182km
Narbonne > Nîmes
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Saturday 19 July)
A flat stage favouring the sprint specialists in the final battle to the finish line.

Saturday 19 July
Stage 14 – 194.5km
Nîmes > Digne-les-Bains
LIVE 10:00pm-1:30am (Sunday 20 July)
A final flat stage as the cyclists approach the Alps. Sprinters will make the most of this stage before a tough finish.

Sunday 20 July
Stage 15 – 183km
Embrun > Prato Nevoso
LIVE 10:00pm-2:15am (Monday 21 July)
A high mountain stage with a HC and category 3 mountain pass and a difficult category 1 mountain finish in Italy.

Tuesday 22 July
Stage 16 – 157km
Cuneo > Jausiers
LIVE 10:00pm-1:30am (Wednesday 23 July)
Fresh legs will be needed for this tough mountain stage featuring two HC category climbs including the highest pass in Europe at over 2800 metres altitude.

Wednesday 23 July
Stage 17 – 210.5km
Embrun > L’Alpe-d’Huez
LIVE 10:00pm-2:15am (Thursday 24 July)
The final high mountain stage of the Tour ensures the climbers are in a good position overall before the Tour heads into the final days of the 2008 race.

Stage 18 – 196.5km
Bourg-d’Oisans > Saint-Étienne
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Friday 25 July)
The cyclists head out of the mountains in this hilly stage as they continue north towards the finish line in Paris.

Friday 25 July
Stage 19 – 165.5km
Roanne > Montluçon
LIVE 10:00pm-2:00am (Saturday 26 July)
Leaving the high mountains behind them the cyclists will pick up the pace in this stage.

Saturday 26 July
Stage 20 – 53km – ITT
Cérilly > Saint-Amand-Montrond
LIVE 10:00pm-2:15am (Sunday 27 July)
The second ITT stage and the last stand for cyclists battling for the winner’s yellow jersey.

Sunday 27 July
Stage 21 – 143km
Étampes > Paris (Champs-Élysées)
LIVE 10:00pm-2:15am (Monday 28 July)
The final stage of the 2008 Tour de France where the sprinters will fight it out at the finish line on the Champs- Élysées in picturesque Paris.
