2008 World Masters Track Cycling Championships
Dear Friends, Welcome to the 14th UCI Track Cycling Masters World Championships 2008. Last year we successfully staged the largest ever World Masters Track Cycling event and now it's back, and we invite you to be part of the experience. Hosted by the Bankstown Sports Club, the 13th UCI Track Cycling Masters World Championships were conducted last year for the first time in Australia. By all accounts, the event was an outstanding success. We attracted a record number of 425 riders including 190 international riders from 25 countries. Staged over 6 days the quality of racing was exciting, competitive and of a very high calibre. Throughout the event, the competitors displayed great sportsmanship. Although a keen competitive spirit prevailed, old friendships were renewed and new ones forged. We have had positive feed back from the competitors on the venue, program and competition organisation. This year the event will again be staged at the Dunc Gray Velodrome from the 14th - 19th October 2008. The Organising Committee are again committed to delivering an outstanding event and trust the 14th UCI Track Cycling World Championships will be enjoyable for all the riders, their families and friends. Single entry fee is AUD $100 includes UCI anti doping levy, with additional event entry AUD $30 per event. Spectator entry will again be free this year and there will be the added bonus of a mini cycling Expo. Please visit our website for more details. Online entries are now open.
